LOST CAT (Sydney, NSW)
While I was away on holidays overseas, I left my cat, Mocha, in the care of my sister’s friend. We had put a harness on him in case he would run off (he doesn’t like it and doesn’t run around as much in the harness). Around a month ago, my sister’s friend took the harness off because she thought he was well acquainted to the environment enough to not just run away, but he did with one of her other cats.
Her own cats are free to come and go from her house as they please and they sometimes disappear for up to several weeks, so she didn’t do anything to try pursue him, assuming he would return after some time. However, the next day the cat that left with him had returned, but he was no where to be seen.
It’s been a month now (I only just got back to Australia) and we’re all starting to get worried.
My sister’s friend lives in Padstow, near Bankstown.
Mocha is microchipped and registered with council. He wasn’t collared when he ran off. He’s around 1 years old.
For more images of Mocha, I have a tag for him. I’ve already contacted RSPCA and the Bankstown Council.
If you have any Australian followers/friends who live in the area, please reblog this! I’d really appreciate it!
Please visit a local shelter or vet if you get a hold of him! Alternatively, please drop by my ask box!
Thank you very much in advance!
This is the most recent image I have of him, from the end of December 2013. Take note that he does not have a harness on when he ran away.
Also, his right eye (from our perspective) gets significantly more watery than his other. He also has a bit of a stuffy nose; little things left over from when he got ill when he was a tiny kitten.
I’ve taken him to the vet and the pills helped his sniffles, but didn’t make them go away.
He responds to his name, but only chooses to selectively approach whoever calls his name. What I mean is, he will recognise and acknowledge that you are calling his name and will look at you or flick his tail in response, but usually he won’t come to you unless he feels like it or if food is offered.
I hope these extra bits and pieces will help identify him!
